ABC’s

Have you ever wanted to say something to God, but you either didn’t have anything to say or you didn’t know how to word something? It’s amazing how many times this happens. And this is ok. There is an answer; you don’t have to not pray. You could say or sing the ABC’s. I learned this method of praying at camp Ewalu.

Prayers are made up of words that have meaning when they go together. Once you break up these words and cut the words into pieces you get the ABC’s. When one says the ABC’s they can make any word they want to. When you use it as a prayer God puts them together to create a prayer.

At camp we sing the ABC’s many different times as verses in a song because we know that God can make wonderful things with these letters that we may not really know how to say.  So if you ever don’t know what to say or don’t know how to word something say the ABC’s and God will receive your message.
