Faith is a key component in my life. I have been brought up a Lutheran in the ELCA denomination. I have participated in Sunday school, youth group and gone to camp Ewalu. I have a very loving family that helps me grow in my faith and relationship with God.
Camp Ewalu is my favorite place in the world. I picked it as part of my topic to blog about because I have a love for being there and the way it shapes my faith. I could talk about camp all the time and in many different ways.

Camp
Ewalu is a full time outdoor ministry. It has eight weeks of summer camp for
second graders to high school students. It has events all year round for both
young and old. There is also a campsite there for people to go and stay. The
camp is located near Strawberry Point in Iowa.
Camp
Ewalu is both a place of fun and also of religious relationships. It is affiliated with the Lutheran church but it welcomes to all religions.
I
have gone to Ewalu for the past four summers. I participated in Ranch Camp, Pack and Paddle, Islanders and the Leader in Training (LT) program. I will most likely go back again in the summer of 2016 for the LT program since I won’t be old enough to be a counselor. After high school I would love to be a counselor at Camp Ewalu if I am called to do
so.
