Super Bowl

Today is the 50th super bowl. Like you know the super bowl is huge for many reasons. 1. Its football and people love watching football games. This is the championship for football so I guess that’s a big deal. 2. The commercials. Many people just watch it because of the commercials and I also heard people watch only the commercials. 3. Food. People get together just to have a party and food. Super bowl food is a huge thing. Making stuff that is the colors or a football. 4. Last but not least it is a time to be with friends and or family.

What’s the big deal? It really is only another football game. The only difference is how people act and what the country has turned it into. This is one of the biggest income days of the year. Form commercials to grocery stores.  I guess its just because its become something so big that nothing can really happen about it. It will always be a huge part of our country.

The one thing I do like about the super bowl is that my church youth group makes super bowl pizzas. We take orders starting sometime in January and then make them the morning of the super bowl during church. We make an assembly line starting with a person at the sauce, then someone with cheese, then two people with topics, and at the end someone to wrap the pizzas up plus an extra person to do whatever job needs help with. I love being organized and I have done pizzas before so I was at the end leading it. It’s really fun because the boys make a mess and we also have a fun time just talking and laughing.

How does this connect with God? Well I think God purposely had someone create football and have the super bowl become such a big thing. He did this because it gives people a weekend to have fun with family and to lose stress while doing so. Obviously its only in the US so it kind of is something that is hard to explain. So that’s something for the reader to think about. How does god decide what countries get what events? Because I feel like some get hit with a lot worse things then something like a grocery store not having the right chips for the football game.

Also have you thought about what team Jesus would be on if he was here. Would he be a Panther or a Bronco? Honestly I don’t really care which one. As long as they have fun and so does everyone watching.
