“for

Valentine’s
Day – February 14, a day when it is traditional to send a card, often
anonymously, to a person one is romantically involved with or attracted to.
Today
– Valentine’s Day - is the day that many people give gifts to people they love,
like or friends. These gifts usually include something on the line of
chocolates and or flowers. They are supposed to mean something special to
people. At school they sell carnations and valentines grams. Carnations come in
three colors. Yellow for friend. Pink for crush. Red for love. They then send
them out during classes.
To
me I really don’t like the concept of Valentines Day because its just one day
to be romantic. I think people should do this randomly throughout the year but
that’s only my opinion. I think people like it because it’s a day that people
won’t get judged for being all “couplely”. Honestly I think its definitely an
over communalized day. Creating this holiday was most likely meant for this situation,
for the economy to flourish.
In
John 3:16 we can see that God loves us. In many cute little quote posters it
highlights the letter VALENTINE. God is our one true love. He gave and gives
everything to us. The biggest thing He gave us was His only son, Jesus, who
came and died for us. He did this to save our lives and for us to be forever
forgiven. And to have an eternal life with Him.
God’s
love for us is bigger and stronger then any other love out there. I feel like
the next is the love between family members. Then the love for friends. And
finally the love for strangers. I thinking having this love for God means so
much the word love pretty much should only be used for Him. But its not so we
have to us it wisely and not over use it. Have to only use the word love for
people we truly love. Definitely an over used word but all we can do is try.
